Happy New Year from Savannah, GA ! My Savannah Shopping and Food Favorites !

Feliz Ano Nuevo to you and your families!!

My family and I are going to ring in the New Year with close friends in beautiful Savannah Georgia this evening. Of course retail therapy is a part of any visit to a new place ( actually my second time) so here are some of my favorites.

Savannah Bee Company - A must stop for any visitor to the area. Head to the tasting bar and sample different flavors of honey available in multiple size options for your trip home. My favorites are the Wildflower and Sourwood. We left with the Savannah Bee company soap in Mint Julep - smells heavenly!  Mint Julep, the Beeswax Lip Balm in Mint Julep or Shimmer Beeswax Liptint. We also bought Wildflower honey and you must have a Wildflower Honeycomb.....Raw Honeycomb from Rocky Mountain Idaho The raw honeycomb offers wonderful options for entertaining or just for the family. Have guests cut their own samples of the honeycomb along with apple slices and smoked gouda cheese. Store in the pantry at home and bring it out for a special treat.  Simply delicious!
Savannah is also online and they ship.

Favorites are the bath " fizzies" for my daughter, the glycerine soaps such as Georgia Peach Glycerine Sopas and Eucalyptus Mint  and the Lavender Hydrating Mist  or Hibiscus Hydrating Mist  for face and body. If you are in Melbourne Florida visit the sister store Indian River Soap. Hibiscus Hibiscus Soy Wax Candles  which has a beautiful scent is a part of their product line, not many beauty brands include Hibiscus as a part of their product offerings.

River Street Sweets
People drop into this Savannah Georgia Institution ( since 1973) for the famous pralines, I stopped in so my daughter could watch the staff make the delicious salt water taffy which comes in over 25 flavors, including peach of course, grape, peppermint and maple. The sugared fruit slices in grape and lemon lime are delicious. Patrons huddle around the fudge counter to sample flavors such as maple and peanut butter and chocolate swirl.   You could spend at least one hour in this store and leave with a serious sugar rush.
